1. INTRODUCTION
Callgame Co. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), doing business as "Pickup," operates the Pickup mobile application and website at pickupcg.com (collectively, the "Service"). We are committed to protecting the privacy of all users of the Service.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the choices you have regarding your information. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you create an account or use the Service, you may provide us with:
- Name: Your first name, last name, or display name as entered during registration.
- Email Address: Used for account creation, authentication, and communications.
- Profile Photo: An optional image you upload to identify yourself to other users.
- Sport Preferences: Sports, activities, and skill levels you select to help us match you with relevant games.
- Location (Approximate at Registration): A general location (e.g., city or region) you may optionally provide at account setup to help surface relevant content.
- Messages: Content of in-app messages you send to other users through the Service's messaging features.
- Game Posts and Activity: Games you create, join, or express interest in, including game descriptions, times, locations, and related notes you enter.
- Scores and Stats: Game results and personal statistics you voluntarily submit through the Service.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Service, we automatically collect certain information:
- Precise Location Data (When App is Active): With your permission, we collect precise GPS location data while you are actively using the app. This is used solely to show you nearby games, courts, and players. We do not collect location data in the background when you are not using the app. You can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings.
- Approximate Location (When App is Inactive or Permission Denied): If precise location is unavailable or permission has not been granted, we may derive an approximate location from your IP address or a location you have previously set in your profile.
- Device Information: We may collect information about your device, including device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service, such as features used, screens viewed, time spent in the app, and actions taken (e.g., games joined, searches performed). This data is used in aggregate form for analytics purposes.
- Log Data: Our servers automatically record information when you use the Service, including your IP address, browser type (if accessing via web), referring URLs, and timestamps.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
If you choose to sign in through a third-party authentication provider (such as Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In), we receive limited profile information from that provider (typically name and email address) in accordance with your permissions and the provider's privacy policy. We do not receive or store your third-party account password.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
3.1 Providing and Improving the Service
- Creating and maintaining your account.
- Displaying your profile to other users for game organization and social networking purposes.
- Matching you with nearby games and other players based on your location, sport preferences, and availability.
- Enabling you to create, join, and manage pickup games.
- Powering the venue discovery features to surface relevant courts and facilities near you.
- Responding to your requests, questions, and technical support inquiries.
- Improving, testing, and developing new features for the Service.
3.2 Communications
- Sending you service-related communications such as account confirmations, game reminders, and notifications about activities relevant to you (subject to your notification preferences).
- Sending you push notifications about nearby games, messages from other users, and updates relevant to your activity on the Service (opt-in only; see Section 7).
- Sending you important legal or policy-related notices.
3.3 Analytics
We use aggregated, non-personally-identifiable usage data to understand how the Service is used, measure feature performance, and inform product development decisions. Individual user data is not shared in analytics outputs.
3.4 Safety and Enforcement
- Detecting, investigating, and preventing fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity.
- Enforcing our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy.
- Complying with applicable legal obligations.
4. LOCATION DATA — SPECIFIC PRACTICES
Because location data is particularly sensitive, we describe our practices in greater detail here.
- Precise Location: Collected only while the app is open and in use in the foreground, and only with your explicit permission. We use precise location to show you games and courts within a relevant distance.
- Purpose Limitation: Location data is never used for advertising targeting. It is used solely to enable the core functionality of the Service (proximity-based game and venue discovery).
- No Sale of Location Data: We do not sell, rent, license, or otherwise commercially transfer your precise or approximate location data to any third party under any circumstances.
- Storage: Location data is processed and stored using Supabase infrastructure. Supabase is a data platform committed to data security and compliance. For information on how Supabase handles data, please review the Supabase Privacy Policy at supabase.com/privacy.
- Retention: Precise location data from individual sessions is not indefinitely retained as a historical log. We retain only what is necessary to operate the Service.
- Revocation: You may revoke location permission at any time through your device's settings. Revoking permission will limit certain location-dependent features of the Service.
5. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes. We may share information as described below.
5.1 With Other Users (By Design)
Certain information you provide is inherently visible to other users of the Service as part of its core functionality. This includes your display name, profile photo, sport preferences, games you have created or joined, and scores you have submitted. You should be thoughtful about what you choose to share publicly on the Service.
Messages you send to other users are visible to those users. Callgame Co. may access message content for safety, moderation, and legal compliance purposes.
5.2 With Venue Partners
We may share aggregated and anonymized data with venue partners listed on the Service. For example, we may tell a venue partner how many Pickup users checked in or expressed interest in their facility during a given period, or provide aggregate demographic or activity-level information. We do not share individual user identity, contact information, precise location history, or any personally identifiable information with venue partners.
5.3 With Service Providers
We engage trusted third-party companies and individuals to perform services on our behalf, such as data hosting, infrastructure, analytics, and customer support. These service providers have access to your information only to the extent necessary to perform their functions and are contractually obligated to maintain its confidentiality and security. Our primary infrastructure provider is Supabase. Other service providers may include cloud hosting, email delivery, and crash-reporting services.
5.4 Legal Requirements and Safety
We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request; (b) enforce our Terms of Service; (c) detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, or safety of Callgame Co., our users, or the public.
5.5 Business Transfers
If Callgame Co. is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice within the Service before your personal data is transferred and becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
6. DATA RETENTION
- Active Account Data: We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide you with the Service.
- Deleted Accounts: When you delete your account, we will purge your personal data from our primary systems within 30 days of the deletion request. After 30 days, your personally identifiable information will not be recoverable from our live systems.
- Residual Copies: Certain data may persist in encrypted backup archives for a limited additional period (up to 90 days) before being purged from those archives as well. Aggregated, anonymized data derived from your account may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be used to identify you.
- Legal Holds: We may retain certain data for longer periods if required by law, regulation, or a legal hold arising from an ongoing dispute, investigation, or legal proceeding.
7. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
Push notifications from Pickup are opt-in only. We will request your permission to send push notifications when you first install the app or access relevant features. You may receive notifications about:
- New nearby games matching your preferences.
- Messages from other users.
- Games you have joined (reminders, updates, cancellations).
- App updates and important service notices.
To opt out: You may disable push notifications at any time through your device's settings (iOS: Settings > Notifications > Pickup; Android: Settings > Apps > Pickup > Notifications). Disabling push notifications will not affect your ability to use the Service, but you will not receive real-time alerts.
8. ANALYTICS
We collect anonymous usage analytics to understand how the Service is used and to improve it. Our analytics system is operated internally or through contracted service providers who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. We do not use third-party advertising networks or behavioral tracking platforms (such as Google Analytics for advertising, Facebook Pixel, or similar ad-tech tools) to track your behavior across other websites or apps. We do not engage in interest-based advertising.
9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete such information as promptly as possible.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@callgame.co so that we can take appropriate action.

11.4 Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. Accordingly, there is nothing to opt out of in this regard. If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide opt-out mechanisms as required by law.
11.5 Right to Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights. We will not deny you services, charge you different prices, or provide you a different quality of service because you exercised your rights.
11.6 How to Submit a CCPA Request
To exercise your rights, contact us at info@callgame.co with the subject line "CCPA Request." We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. We will respond within 45 days; if more time is needed, we will notify you of the extension in writing.
12. DATA SECURITY
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Our data is stored using Supabase, which employs encryption at rest and in transit, access controls, and other industry-standard security measures.
However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at info@callgame.co.
